Message	more to do with proper planning and quality components. I've heard systems with single 8" subs outperform DIY garage installs with 4 12's. Match the enclosure to the sub and use plenty of clean power. IMO, the type of music you listen to doesn't really factor into the equation. A capable system can accurately reproduce everything from classical and gospel to two live crew. "Too dumb for opera, too smart for NASCAR."
